Lighting and the Vanquish Q-Series

Does anyone have any info on the voltage regulator that comes with the Q-Series lights? Input voltage range? Output voltage? Does one have to use the supplied regulator or could these lights be powered from my 7.4V BEC output? Or from 6V on a receiver?

I'm planning to build up a KOH style LED array (red-blue-orange-red) for the rear on my yeti using discrete 5mm LED's. Ideally i would power this from the receiver (or BEC, 6V vs 7.4V isn't that much difference) since that is the lowest voltage available and therefore less wattage dissipated in the current limit resistors. I'd like to power both the rear LED's and the Q-Series from the same source for simplicity and wiring ease. Has anyone done anything similar with the Q-Series lights?

Thanks in advance,
Dale
