KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

Yeah, the comp rigs are pretty light, but you guys run a ton of power in them as well? 3S and hot motors? W/ HD lockers, aluminum Chubs and knucks, I think(hope:ror:) they should be ok.

If you run 380 sized motors you may be OK. I was figuring you were thinking about a 540 sized which I would be worried about the gears. I have never ran 3s in mine because it barely stayed together with 2s on that Mongoose system (which is utter shit but does have power).

I blew apart a CVD a couple comps back and the comp before last I blew out another CVD and destroyed the plastic tranny gears. I think MRC axles might hold out good on a super light weight scaler like something with a delrin L Trail kind of chassis and a lexan body. Make tube work out of brake line to keep it light and use small tires to easy the strain. Maybe they will live?

As much as I enjoy my MRC, the lack of products available to improve durability is dissapointing. I know Hot Racing makes aluminum tranny gears but it sounds like everyone using finds them to be more fragile than the stock plastic.
What's the weight difference between a pair of AX and mrc axles?
1.5s or 1.9s?
ax or mrc trans?

I would think it would work fine with mrc parts (light weight) with all the goodys and a small tire ...3.75" or smaller???
Shim the r/p real tight and carry extra cvds, although I haven't seen where anyones complained about breakage in a looong time, but a scaler still gona weigh more than a comp rig

What kind of power? ...crazy fast wheel speed or puttin around getting your scale on?

I might end up selling my BJv3 Bully soon... Don't have the funds to finish my Sportsman and be able to build a scaler. I'm so close to having a comp ready 2.2. All I needed was custom lower links and a radio and I would be set. I might sell it and put a dig on my sportsman and do what BC Racing does (run the sportsman and 2.2 with same rig). I was trying to have two rigs going so that my father could compete instead of standing around being bored at all the comps... So I guess I'll just sell it and put some money into the sportsman and get it setup really nice and we'll just share the same rig.

So I might have a practically brand new Mamba Micro Pro or a pair of them up for sale in the next couple of weeks... And some Bully axles, also a BJv3 chassis

I'm planning on a few changes to mine and then I'm gonna run back over(drive actually) to adair park again so I can see the changes on the same course. EAsiest way to verify in my mind..... That wont be for a week or so. I can let ya know when I'm planning to head over there. If yours isnt up and running yet you can drive my MRC.
