Let the testing begin.
I have to say that Pennsylvania is a great place to crawl with many parks and open areas to use. The downside is that we have lots of trees and leaf clutter that makes grip a challenge for crawlers.

I have to say that the VOODOO clean out much better than the Boss Claws do when they get dirty, They got dusty with all the leaves and dirt between transistions but bit hard when asked to.
I have owned many different tires from Leopards, Sedonas, Rovers and Boss Claws to name a few. My go to tire in the past for my rigs has been the Sedonas here in Pa, they grip great and the lugs clear out of clutter well. I bought the Boss Claws on a whim and never really liked them. Since I have gone lightweigtht this season I have taken the Rovers and like everyone else clapped the sidewalls to lighten them up and get better response out of them.
I put my Driver order in for a set of GOLDS and BLUES, when I recieved the VOODOO tires I was impressed right off the bat with the design of the tire and consistency of the rubber compound. They were light and very pliable, I knew that foams were going to make all the difference with these tires. I went foam crazy and ordered six sets of foams to try out. I started with the CI single stage 5.75 soft with med. tuning rings in the front and CI Medium single stage 5.75 with a med. tuning ring in the rear. After running this setup the fronts were too soft and the sidewalls would fold over too much. So I went "Oldschool" and took my CI dual stage open cell hard inner and meduim outer and mounted them on my SLW's. I will be running modified buggie wheels in the future but until I get the foams set up, I thought it was the best way to go.
Like I said before I never really liked the Boss Claws, so I was unsure how these pins would work here in PA. After getting the foams where I am comfortable with right now I am very happy with the results so far. The height of the tire is perfect for me it give great ground clearance and the bite of the pins has been awesome, I am not sure about cutting any of the pins off just yet. They still need some more breaking in. I'll keep everyone posted.
Here is where I stand right now with some pics and video.

The Pins biting down

With the firmer fronts it sidehills much better.

Under cuts, no problem.

This is a start, I will be testing out other combinations of foams as well.
