Finally got a chance to get the Yeti up on the table and break out the measuring tools. Note: all measurements are done by me, and may or may not match up with what Axial has published, these are my actual measurements.

Normally this would be done with a clean shiny brand new rig, but this thing showed up the day I left for Crawlapalooza and I had to take it with me. I also gave into the peer pressure and put some run time through it.

Holy hell I haven't been this excited in a long time, this thing is awesome!

I guarantee everyones first thought when they see this thing is, "My god it's huge!"

These awesome little lock washers to help hold the wheels tight.

Outside Diameter: 20mm
Machined to drop a 5mm nut in the outside.
Knurled on the inside to lock to the wheel.
Made of metal.

So it looks like you've put it through it's paces Jason. Any issues so far?

Those wheel locknut/washers are pretty cool!

I haven't driven it a bunch, just at Crawlapalooza. While there I just ran it as an exhibition, but I set the fastest time on both the race track and the hill climb.

Nothing has broke, or shows any sign wearing. I will say that the only mod I am looking for right off the bat is a rear swaybar.

Yeah it's small things like this that most people look right over that get me excited, I'd like to see these things made in other sizes for other rigs.

Looking good Jason. CI has 1 set of Yeti XL 3.8" race line wheels and 3.8" R35 BFG Krawler Tires shipping to me today. :-)
I'm very excited about this new size!

Another great teardown from Mr. Jason! It would have been better if the parts were clean, but whatevs. :flipoff:

The front CV shafts really stand out to me. They were a pre-lunch project, for sure. Axial definitely wanted to make sure the shafts could handle all of the abuse that we would put to them.

That said, I did bend mine pretty good on the first outing. But I'm going to chalk that up to driver error. ;)

Coming from a snail slow scaler background, I believe that it all was driver error.:ror:

However, I was mostly talking about the taper leading up to the CV bell and the stub axle. Everything after the taper, is standard Exo/Yeti (as far as I can tell).
