So i set out to turn an r1 into the most versatile rig possible and after lots of tuning ive got it to where its stable in wet and dry mud or dirt and rock or tree based crawling applications with minimal capability lost in mud. I've had the r1 for around 4 months and I think I have it pretty well tuned in. I have just over a tires height if flex, 2.75 inches of belly clearance at front of skid and 3.0 at rear of skid, and a cog that allows it to pull a 60 degree vertical incline. If anyone is having troubles making their gmade do what they want post to this thread. My setup is as as follows: (any feedback would be appreciated as well)

Remote/receiver:_ spectrum DX 2.0
Motor/gearing: _Venom fireball 55t brushed 13t pinion gear
Esc/ mounting location:_ traxxas xl5 LVD waterproof/ under hood upside down
Steering setup:_ 1/2 inch high steer mod. Flipping servo horn where it mounts to servo and running shorter drag link up instead of down and installing 1/2 inch spacers at long drag link for raised steering with longer screws.
Steering servo: _savox 450oz servo
Battery:_ **** punch pack 35c 3s lipo 2200mah deans connectors one batt./esc
Wheels/Tires:_ HB Rover tires (soft) with pit bull 2 stage foams, and stock rims with 2 opposing 1/8 holes drilled in each rear rim * for air movement and front air sealed
Wheel weights:_ 6. per front wheel/4-5oz per rear wheel
4 Link:_ delrin lower link triangulation skid plate or skid plate triangulation modification
Upper links:_ front: stock length/ rear use included links for 7* castor knuckle kit front upper links stock position
Lower links:_ bent rear/ straight front; front links 1/4-3/8 inch extensions
Steering knuckles:_ 7* castor angle knuckles (aluminum) *don't use included upper links
C-Hubs:_ stock/ or aluminum
Shock setup:_ droop setup front, shocks flipped up side down sprung extra long venom shocks with creeper internal droop springs (40w-50w oil)
Suspension configuration:_ upper mounts: at back of hood/lower windshield crossbar(front); upper mounts at farthest forward stock upper position and lower mounted to farthest towards axle aluminum mount (2 other holes removed)
Shock mounts continued:_ aluminum adjustable lower link/ shock mount
Front; cut end 2 holes of rear shock mounting holes (there are 3 mount holes cut end 2 off and file corners to round) *lower links mounted at lower location as on stock mounts

Hey derrickalda the high steer is working good it gives a little bit in binding situations so it cushions the servo a bit but still steers normally. I just got a tq4 2.4ghz remote im going to be setting up with my dig and soon a winch right between the front shock towers. Ill be running a evx2 esc for use with 3s battery.

Ya its been cleaned and redone recently. Its got ckrc and ckrc punch pack graphics all over it with different stickers all on custom aluminum body panels. Pics will follow in the next couple weeks (waiting on camera).
