I filled my front diff with mostly traxxas 10K oil and added 2 pea sized globs of traxxas 500K diff oil in it also, the ? is this to thick up front?
see video of it's action when I turn the wheel by hand quickly.

Do You have full set of spiders in the dif ? 10 K is on the soft side, I don't know how much that 500 K stiffens it up but 40 K would be good starting point ( with full set of gears )

Hi yes I put the full set of gears in, that's why I went with diff oil.
you can feel it when you just turn the wheel by hand slowly it has a drag to it.
what should I do in the rear they say 3000K in the instructions?

better thick in the front and loose in thin in the rear? that's what I read.

Just got done putting the rear together I used 10K and mixed a lot of 60wt shock oil in it , Now that the truck is together the rear feels just a hair stiffer than stock with only the grease.
it spins pretty long after I flip the tire with my hand.... don't know if that's how it looks when using 3000 weight?

Sounds good, 10K should be fine even with out thinning. I don't think 3000 will have any locking effect with big tires. I went from 15000 to 20000 to 40000 before it was to my liking

cool I test drove it and it seems to work, I think the thicker you go up front supposed to give you more steering at high speed.

the rear from what you explained I many have made 3000 to 5000 oil by mixing them up when you turn the rear slowly by hand you can slightly feel pressure.
the front when turned slowly by hand you can really feel pressure like a gummy twisting taffiy feeling, don't know if I went to much...but it seems to be working.
example if I hold the truck up and turn one front wheel real fast by hand like in my video the chain sprocket starts to turn a little ,,, maybe to thick?

I put 4 spider gears in my Mad Force 2.0 (nitro) and 50,000 in the diffs. Feels perfect. Tightened the diffs up a lot but they still break free when they need to.
I would also suggest making a drag link to eliminate the slop in the steering. I replaced ALL the stock links with VP titanium links. No slop or wiggle what so ever.

Thanks I took the front diff out and mixed a little 10wt shock oil in the diff now it spins a little better than in the video above as it was to stiff.

ware did you get the rods and what ones?
also how much did they run you?

i use 1000000wt in my diffs. awesome! lays down power nicely, but still able to turn around when going slow.
