How about some SCX24 driveshaft talk this time.

In my last post after I blew up my stock transmission with my awesome Unity24 motor/esc combo we had a riveting discussion about the different transmissions and their gearing options.

So now I have popped my rear drive shaft off the transmission side twice since I got my awesome MR24 transmission, lol.
Let's get into your favorite drive shafts.

I have been doing some google fu and those crossed my eyes. The price sure looked right. The Hot Racing are expensive and it looks like the shorter one doesn’t have much engagement.
I need a good servo horn for my Reefs99 but I should probably make a post for that, lol.

I haven’t found any other driveshafts that say they are “D” shaped or show they are .
Many out there with round holes to attach to a D shaped pinion that leave you relying on a small screw for strength.

Yeah that’s all I have found so far. I have an order on the Injora site ready to go, just need to pull the trigger. I need to find a good servo horn for my Reefs99 too.

Yeah they do, it’s kinda short and the shipping costs as much as the horn. I do have one in my cary though, lol.
I linda want to find a good source of the stock plastic horns. They seem to be a good weak link.

They seem to be a good weak link.
Just playing around with a quality servo, YES! Competitions I’d have steel or aluminum. However All my crawlers have metal arms, my go fasts all have Kimbrough servo savers, wish they made them for minis.

For what’s it worth I like my axle and transmission components built up and super strong. I do not mind having weak shafts as they are 2 bolts and easily field serviceable in a matter of minutes.

I have the Meus Iso axles and a LGRP MR24 transmission mated to a Unity24 so all that is good. I am considering just keeping the plastic drive shafts, I’ll prolly buy the Injora ones even if I don’t use them right now.

LOL
So I went for the Injora d-shape but I got C-Bolt lengths because I was going to get the Mazz double bend links.
Too bad as soon as I went to the Mazz site they were out of stock. So now I still only have the stock rear driveshaft, lol. That’s how it goes sometimes.
