Help programming Castle Creations BEC with Mac computer

Is there any way around not having a Windows PC and programming the CC 10Amp peak to output with a 7.4v servo?

I personally don’t own a computer, but my girlfriend has a Mac laptop for her work. It’s her works laptop so I can’t exactly install parallels or anything like that on it. Is there possibly an alternate rout around this problem?

CC 10AMP PEAK + Castle Link V3 = $52

CC 2.0 BEC + CC B-link Bluetooth = $115

Would like to avoid dropping the extra cash just to be able to program it with iOS.

I hate to be the bee stinging but PC is the only way to program Castle products properly! I tried the Castle b-link with my I pad and it just does not work so I bought a 150 dollar windows 2021 model laptop and no problem whatsoever programming! I took me a couple years fighting it until I caved in and programmed all my castle and holmes esc's with the castle link and what a difference....
BUZZZZZ.......

Hmmm I think I may have an old crumby chrome book sitting around somewhere. I wonder if there’s any way to use that.

A few years back I bought an HP Stream 7 tablet that runs the full Windows OS just so I could pack something with me that would run the Castle software.

Cost me $75 new on sale...

I even upgraded it to Windows 10 when that was released!

Keep an eye out for deals - or pick up something refurbished - you can do plenty of other stuff with it when not running software updates.

Or save the $ and just run windows on a virtual machine. A virtual machine is just a way of running a different operating system.

Yeah, that's a good idea - but he stated that the Mac he has access to is a work laptop, and not his.

Just throwing other ideas out there... "thumbsup"

If the Mac has an intel chip, it's "technically possible" to do it with some kind of software. If it has the Apple chip, like my MacBook Pro, you're ****ed.

I just bought the cheapest pc laptop at Best Buy during the back to school sale... a little over $200 for a small HP pc. I don't even have it set up with my information or anything. So far it's only been used for the castle link.

Very funny hope multiple people on this thread have bought cheap laptops just to be able to program Castle Creations BEC’s. I guess it’s time to ask my friends if they mind me coming over and programming mine with their computers.

For anyone coming across this thread in the same situation, I went to Best Buy and bought the cheapest Windows laptop ($150), used it to program my Castle Creations, and then returned it. That was the best solution I came up with.
