So, I finally decided to retire my Defender body and go w/ Team Raffee Co.'s 5-dr Range Rover classic! The body build was an absolute nightmare and is already mounted on the chassis. It is still a work in process as it's not painted, electronics are just hanging out and I have yet to get interior parts!

Chief Jim Hopper has been awaiting for the completed build very patiently.

The build currently consists of the following:

-Traxxas TRX-4 Defender (This was my first rig and a preorder!)
-RC4WD black 5 lug wagon wheels w/ blue rings.
-Redcat Gen7's Interco Super Swampers (Temporary, I want to go 4.19, these were all I had that were smaller than the Proline's BFG T/A Krawlers)
-Castle Creation's Mamba Monster X
-Castle Creation's 1406 Sensored 3800KV Slate motor
-Amazon's Annimos 20kg servo and servo horn
-Yeah Racing's winch controller, ready for a winch! (previously installed w/ my custom Defender body)
-Rear links from TRX4 bronco

Various photos to follow including progress photos!

I may need some advice on electronics placement.

Here are some quick shots of the build thus far. She’s a rubber until I downsize to 4.19 tires, I hope.

nice work, i like how you mounted the body, just the 2 screws per side? i just got a 3 door body and looking for ideas on a chassis.

For this 5-door, it came with four side mounting pieces for each corner. I completely got rid of the stock plastic sliders and they screwed right up to existing holes!

This is gonna be quite a slow build;

Between saving money for my trip in May, NOT spending money on car parts, I'm also keeping myself from spending unnecessarily on this build as well.

4.75 tires are far to big and don't fit the scale looks I desire, they also rub like mad. I do plan on going w/ RC4WD's new BFGoodrich KM3s, They are 4.09 which will fit perfect and won't rub! I've swapped out the GEn7 Super Swampers for GMade MT-1903 4.3" tires I had lying around and they fit and look quite nice but still rub a bit. I'll try to get a photo of it soon.
