Are you interested in having your RC building and rc driving skills tested? Crawler Innovations and Ayala Metal Works are all about building and driving hobby grade RCs to the limit. "Activated Outlaw" competition crawlers was created for this reason with the focus of creating a sanctioning body that is fair, fun, and repeatable. CI and AMW have been hosting a Get Together on the first Saturday of every month at a local park since 2019.

Gavin and I (Edmundo Ayala) will be driving and filming RC cars on February 1, 2020 at Northside RC Park, located in Tyler, Texas.
Start Time 10:00AM

Northside RC Park
2301 NWN Loop 323
Tyler, TX 75702
(903) 531-1370

Web Site:

The courses will be set based on the rc vehicles in attendance. So whatever the majority of the group has to drive, that is what we will run. No one will be turned away, and every RC will have a chance on course.

Consider this your formal invite to stop by, drive your RC car and meet other hobbyists. This is not a competition or full blown event. This a get together with focus on driving and visiting. I hope to see you there and possibly get your RC car on camera.

Activated Outlaw Comp Crawlers is free to participate, open to all ages, and this months overall low score driver will receive a Free Cell Block RC Crawler Stand.

Where in the park did you wind up crawling? I wanted to make the get together but got sidelined by a cold. I've been up to that park before but only saw the broken concrete pile on the south end of the runway.
I'm just trying to find suitable places around here to get have some fun with the kids.
Thanks

After taking a vote of the people in attendance, the majority agreed to move the get together to Children's Park.

Well, guess no one wants to help the new guy. Thanks, I know where to spend my money.

You could always help yourself. The search feature works great on this forum. Even easier, why don't you read through the last year of posted get togethers in the Texas Section? You know what, each one of those has addresses posted in them of LOCAL spots to you homie. Does the new guy not want to help himself? Or is it easier to draw attention to yourself in a negative manner?

I saw that after I posted my second reply. Didn't see it on FB though.

I actually do know how to use the search feature and have tried it. It's crazy to think I've been on forums for over 2 decades.... and I learned how!
I've been to a AO GTG at Goodman LeGrande and it was fun for my girl. But being the new guy means I try to talk to others and get blown off. It was the same at the Crawl Space in CO. Seem very cliquish unless you already know someone. I'd be nice to actually have dialogue with a human. You know, the community aspect of a hobby. I actually had better convo with the RC plane guys at the airfield than crawlers.
And being negative, well, got your attention. And its sarcasm and being annoyed that people don't actually want to talk to others any more.
It's cool though. I'll probably still buy your products cause they work.
And I'll keep trying to get out and find places to crawl. It'd be nice to have more places like White Oak.
