I don't actually think you can put on a 96t spur gear, it hits the driveshaft

I Know from experience that a 93t just BARELY fits in there, but it will for sure rub a stock driveshaft at certain flex angles.

A 90t fits in there with good clearance, while a 91t should just squeak by.

I just put a 14t pinion and a 87t spur gear with the stock stealthx transmission and a reedy 3900kv motor. I haven't tried it yet because I haven't installed the wheels and tired yet. Waiting on new Baja prox to come in. Any thoughts on how it should run? I figured low gearing mixed with decent power should be a good combo.

Volt up and gear down as the man says.
I don’t know much about gearing, the maths for it hurt my head but I hope you get the results you are looking for. I really want to say gratz on the necro post. This is the oldest post I have seen necro’d.

Axle diff ratio...38t Ring Gear : 13t Pinion gear =2.92:1 or otherwise

*edit:
Since this is a necro post, give me my minute of life back

Like I said, gearing maths hurt my head.
I am confused as heck. That’s a great post Gula but how come the stock gearing, the overdrive and underdrive gears are all the same pinion and spur combo’s? Wouldn’t they need to be different numbers on the spur and pinions?

Not sure I understand that question fully since pinion/spur never change in relation to OD/UD, but I think I see where the confusion lies.

Gula posted info for an SCX10/AX10, since that what's this thread is about. It has (had) different gear ratios available on the axles.

@Daveovington is asking about an Element chassis, and the SteathX transmission has different ratios internally.
