Has anyone done this with success or should I be using a small Tupperware container and silicone the holes any feedback would be appreciated I know there are other threads about it on here but no definitive answer what's the best option?

The best way is from what I have seen and know conformal coating. It would take some prep and paying attention on the fxr though. I used scotchkote and corrosionx on mine and have had no issues yet but you still have to be sure it is very clean and pay close attention while using it. Its in the waterproofing section. I want to say there is a link to all of it in there.
