Hi,
has anyone here had success with a Furitek ESC and a BL Inrunner motor?
Since Asiatees also stocked the Furitek ESCs, which I could order for normal (free) shipping costs and no danger of expensive customs additionally, I had ordered 2 Furitek Lizard ESCs some time ago and received them about 2 weeks ago.
I never intended to use those with BL Outrunners, even if I have one of those 1400 kv Outrunners here.
Already some time ago I did buy 2 of the new Surpass Rocket 2500 kv Inrunners, one with and the other one without ESC (do not buy the version with ESC, the ESC is super bad, unfortunately).
I hoped those would be good crawler ESCs... maybe.
Sanded the shaft to 1.5 mm, but super difficult to mount to SCX24, so I did test other motors, which fit easily.
My 2500 kv Rocket seems to run smoothly with no load with the Furitek Lizard, but shows a significant rpm jump at trim 50 (Flysky Noble), which 2 further Furitek users also have noticed.
Tested the Turnigy XK1222 11000 kv, which fits easily to the SCX24 - no way with the Furitek, super weak, does only climb my foot with nearly full speed, motor runs hot.
Switch to a different BL ESC: Everything perfect (but no good low speed).
Tested the Turnigy 1230 4500 kv inrunner, which fits perfectly to SCX24 (shaft too long and battery holder leg are the only problems).
The motor runs with no load, but does not even start in the SCX24 with the Furitek ESC (gear mesh is perfect, drive train runs super smooth).
Change to a super cheap 5 € Banggood BL 20 A ESC: Motor runs perfectly in the SCX24 (but bad very low speed behaviour).
2 buddies from German Rockcrawler forum reported the same problems with some inrunner motors: Do not work with the Furitek ESC, work perfectly with other BL ESCs.
So anyone had success with an inrunner motor and the Furitek Lizard?
Quite disappointing so far...
Walter
