What’s up RCC, figured I’d start documenting this build before I get too far ahead of myself. Some of you may have seen Twade984 build in the Capra section, well this is basically an imitation of that to a point. After driving the rig for a short period of time, I knew I needed to build one.
I ended up snagging a complete Capra from twade, did some wheel’n and deal’n to swap the stock axles and some $ for these lightly used clear F9 10.2 style straight axles.
The beauty of this build, is it works using all the stock links, with only swapping out some rod ends.
As of right now the build specs are as follows
Vanquish 10.2 F9’s vanquish internals except for ssd OD gears up front.
Vanquish 3 gear transmission sitting on a UCfab delrin/carbon skid
Incision driveshafts
Stock Capra links with some large
Traxxas rod ends
Dravtech silver short shocks with 5mm spacer 70wt ultra soft & soft springs
Vanquish bully 1.9’s in silver
Proline krawlers in predator with proline dual stage foams.
I’m unsure on electronics at the moment, it will be getting an shv800 servo and either a crawlmaster mini with 1800kv revolver, or castle micro x with 1900kv slate 2850kv slate or puller pro 2200kv.
Again this is a pretty straight forward build, with the slight adjustments here n there but I can’t wait to get this thing on the rocks

Looks good man. Vanquish clears under an all black chassis just go great together...

I'll be curious to see how she does with the narrower straights under it"thumbsup"

I've gotta pick up some Vanquish axles at some point, everything else I've bought from them is top notch.

I really like the bullies on this, the whole thing looks sick already.

Looks great! My Capra is sans axles at the moment, I plan on doing the same. It just sits a bit too high with the portals imo.

Thanks guys, not too much to add. Got the interior trimmed for the transmission and the panels taped off ready for paint tomorrow. I’m going to try n mount some electronics tonight then I’ll report back.

Well here we are… worth staying up til 1am to finish.
I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking.
If anyone wants/needs some more info on this thing hit up twade or myself.
Super stoked on how it turned out, from the stance to the paint. Can’t wait to hit the rocks

Super sick man. This thing sits low, and the paint scheme ties it all together.

Finally got to drive this thing today, ad it’s exactly what I was expecting and wanted it to be. It’s a Very smooth and capable rig, and looks damn good doing it. I picked up a set of km3’s for it, not only do they look the part but I’m happy with the performance.
Here’s a few pics, wanted to get some video.. but my radio battery died before I had the chance.

Looks like yall had a good day out fricker. Thats a good lookin pair of rigs!

Your Capra is fully dialed! It looks and performs like a well thought out rig should. [emoji1360]

I’ve got to drive this thing a few times now, and I tell you I like it more every time.
I did drop to a 10t pinion and it still has plenty of wheel speed with the 2850 slate.
I took this with me on my road trip and found a fun spot in Post Falls Idaho to run for a little bit. Had more plans to run but those didn’t work out. Then I was able to get a little run time in earlier this week with my pro also. Anyone considering this build, stop thinking about it and just do it already. It’s a fantastic rig and you’ll likely never run into one on the trail

The F9 Capra got some new bead lock rings and a spare tire mount today. Can’t wait for some better weather to get out and run some of these rigs.
I’m contemplating stacking the black rings on top of the holys like in the last pic.
