Hello all just got my hands on a cool little toy from FMS. I pre-ordered from RCMart and honestly didn’t think I would get one from the first batch shipped. Anyways, would like to share a quick unboxing video with a size comparison to a Tamiya CC-01. Hoping to post a features and running video in a few days. Let me know if you guys have any questions.

For some reason, I was not able to embed the video on the original post. Let's try it here:

Hello all, a more detailed review of the interior, light functions, underbody, and 2-speed transmission.

Running video is live! Let me know if you guys have any questions or suggestions about this rig.

Final thoughts on the FMS Suzuki Jimny:

These are pretty cool, I have seen a couple of videos on them. The scale world just keeps getting better and better.

It's a very cool vehicle indeed. One of the things I mentioned in my final thoughts video is that I do like the direction things are going with these models. However, I personally would like to see more parts available for them.

It's a been a few years, but I really wanted to get the HG Humvee when it first released, but the parts were hard to come by. Now they have parts available, but only through Banggood. Not that there is anything necessarily wrong with that, I would just like to see a domestic (USA) supplier.

That said, I am hoping that we get replacement parts sooner for these FMS and RocHobby models so that people that want to modify them (not me) can get on with it and not worry about breaking parts and having an expensive paper weight.

You won't see a domestic supplier for these niche/fringe-interest vehicles...
before they are discontinued that is.

Most RC car hobbyists are not interested in scale trail trucks or crawlers,
but love something big and flashy [toylike] with big tires.

In any event, Asiatees has what appears to be the entire parts list for the 1/12 Jimny.
Be interesting to see someone fab something up with those nice axles and running gear or
buy a complete body shell [$9.90 at this time]. That body needs a rattle can paint job
over that ugly chartreuse. ;-)
