Hello everyone.

I'm planning on building a C3 rig, and I'm going to make my own chassi.

Any advice on things to do when building and drawing the chassi?
I want to build something like MG2000's Hurricane Buggy and "Justin vs Scott Class Three Build Off". That's the type of chassi I really like.

This will be the first chassi I'll draw and build, so any advice will be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

If you have never done thbe work before I would suggest starting with some simple bumpers or sliders. Check the tools and fabrication section of rthe forum for information on welding / brazing / silver soldering.

The first tube chassis build I ever did was an ultra 4 style car. I dove head first into it. The only knowledge i had was from other build threads. I made it out of brakeline and welded it with a mig welder, boy that was a mistake. The brakeline has a galvanized coating on it, it sucks to weld. After building the first one, i realized how important it was to make sure everything is nice and straight. If you have one bar that isn't the right length it could throw everything out of wack. So my advice would be to make sure that everything is straight. Measuring twice and cutting once is easier than messing once and cutting twice.
