exceed maxvolt 10

anyone here have any experience with the exceed rc maxvolt 10 1/10 crawler? just picked one up for $150 on amazon. comes with a 2s battery rtr. ran it for a bit tonight with my friend running my trx4 sport kit. the only thing i saw lacking on the maxvolt was the steering angle. i cut the stops off the knuckles so it turns much better now. its also going to get a hobbywing fusion se motor and better servo soon.

it is really close to fitting the scx10 transmission i have, but the bolt pattern is different on the exceed. i just swapped in a 28 turn 550 with 3s battery and it has much better control than the 540 that was in it. apart from the steering angle not being the greatest, its pretty capable!

Its a clone not a exsact copy you can slot the 2 holes that are just a bit off or pick up a scx10 skid plate that should give you better link geomitry also

That trans wont hold up to 3s and nither will the lockers inside the axles and the shafts turn in to hot butter on 3s

Dont even bother with repairing the axles just replace.them with 10.2 axles there almost a direct bolt in
And same with the trans a complete aluminum trans with metal gears are under $20 about the same price as the metal gear set for that plastic transmission that will crack in half on 3s
