ESC question

Giving the SCX10 a make over and I want to use this out-runner motor. How many amps do you think it will draw as I am trying to figure out what ESC to use. I assume it has to be sensorless or would an XR10 work with out the sensor cable? I also have a couple ESC that were from a Tamiya kit laying around. Would they work or am I just going to smoke them?

that little outrunner should be good on around 40 amps but more wont hurt it
the tamiya escs will work but you wont have a good time
those outrunners are kinda finniky you really want a esc thats programed for crawlers
