Some can be made to work but not needed by any stretch. I run an AXE 2300 kv on 3s LIHV and have for months of hard abuse, driveshafts are still stock and perfectly fine.
Also Knightrunner and ecto use all the same parts except for suspension linkage set up. So differentials, transmissions, driveshafts etc all the exact same. Only differences are ecto trailing arms for GKS and the knightrunner IFS in the front instead of solid axle.
This goes for all element enduros. Either IFS front or normal straight axle then either 4 link or GKS trailing arms in the rear (and link length changes for 12.3 vs 12.8 wheel base) EVERYTHING ELSE is the same between all element enduros. Even the solid axle knuckles are the same in the front for solid axle or ifs. So you can use the same brass knuckles on both the knightrunner or ecto (or trailrunner, senduro, Gatekeeper and so on)
