Don't know which one to buy. Marlin or Midnight edition.

Hi mates, can you help me to decide?
I don't like the wheels on the Marlin, are too wide for me, I like something more real.
I don't want to make a mistake, jeje. What do you all think? Thanks from Spain.

Mostly depends on what you’re after, but after buying a midnight edition a while back, I wish I would have gone with the marlin. I believe the marlin to be one of the more capable tf2’s you can get.

Biggest differences (that applied to my situation) were the marlin has a bobbed bed stock, front fenders trimmed beneath the grille stock, larger tires/wheels, and I believe comes stock with rc4wd’s softer springs.

But if you’re after a more scale replica of a relatively stock truck, the midnight might be your better option.

Personally I’m a fan of the 1:1 Marlin Toyota, so I’d rather have the 1/10 version

Tires, wheels, and springs leave a lot to be desired on any tf2 you end up with.

The Marlin is based on a real upgraded Toyota truck, put out by Marlin Crawler Off-Road - the RC4WD is a pretty accurate scale replica, down to the wheels and tires.

That being said, if you are after a milder look, get the Midnight Edition!

Are you new to RC crawling? If you are I would be sure you want an RC4WD vehicle. They are made for scale driving and the quality isn't the best which means less durability than something like a Traxxas TRX-4. I have a friend that only runs RC4WD and Cross RC, but he drives very tame.

In my opinion, I'd choose the Marlin. It comes with the better options out of the box. BUT, it does require a total tear down and rebuild using thread lock before the first drive. I had to do that to mine. You can see more of mine here (http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/rc4wd-trail-finder-2/607692-b-mow-buys-tf2-marlin-crawler.html) to see what I all I've done to my Marlin.

It really depends on what you like. I do like the look of the Midnight Edition, but like the features of the Marlin.
