Well guys this is my first scale build and I had no idea what I was getting into, this is a very addicting hobby. Started with a trail stomper because I wanted something that had leafs and was ready to run. With a couple hours of modification (removing leafs, chino'd, removing shocks, etc) this thing is awesome. Anyone on the fence about one of these trucks should have no worries just order a servo and driveshafts when you order the truck. Anyway here is the progress of the truck.. custom bed, bumpers, etc is finally starting to come together.

proline made one for a bit but disco'ed it.

the sticker in the pic is TBG, which is team blue groove, they made reproductions of disco'ed bodies on ebay.

To bad Tamiya didn't make a Dodge high lift kit. Its the only thing I don't like about this hobby not enough Dodge's. Check out ramchargercentral forum for what guys are doing to real trucks.

Sorry guys haven't had time to check the thread lately, the body is off ebay. Its an old MRP body that someone made a mold of. I bought two because I was so excited but the problem is the body is very short and lacking a lot of detail. To use the whole body it would need to be a very short truck so that's why I chopped mine up into a flatbed. Plus the bed has some funky lines in it, so those would need to be hidden some how.

here is the link so you can see what I mean

Vintage MRP Dodge Stepside Truck Body Bruiser Clodbuster USA 1 | eBay

Im in the process of 4 linking the front of the truck right now, hopefully have pictures up tonight.

looks real good man. the leaves really stiff?

The leaves were a little stiff but the killer for this truck was the stock shocks. I did remove some off the leaves, chino'd the main leafs and now have the ultimate scale shocks on it. That setup has plenty of flex for me. Its real close to my dads Axial so I was pleased.

I am in the process of 4 linking the front but the leafs will stay in the rear. The only reason I did it that way is because if I was building the fullsize version of this truck thats what I would want.

Haven't got a lot done lately but I did get the 4 link setup done. Threw the bed together (will get revisited because I don't like it), and to got a little test run in today. I've got to say this truck has its downsides but it sure crawls great if your willing to tinker.

Good lookin build so far. I honestly think this us tge first dodge build I've seen.

DementeD!llus!onz Because its for the love of anything custom

This is the update.. I hated how much detail the body lacked and with me being a Dodge guy the lines were all wrong. So I scored on a Ramcharger body and built this instead. Someday I might finish it but for now it still needs bumpers and suspension work so it sits on the shelf looking pretty
