Diff Oil Recomendation

Looking for some feedback......Gonna be building a XL kit soon and was wondering what Diff weight people are using in the front and back.
Just from doing some google searches it seems that some people use maybe 200K in the front and 500K in the rear. That just seems like a drastic difference from the 20K that comes in the kit? I don't know alot about Diff oils and stuff so I was looking for some answers.
I will be using the truck just for bashing and nothing serious, but if I'm gonna do it I like to do it right.

The 20k in the kit will work but the diff will slip more you may like the turning better with the light weight oil. Most run heavier oil to help lock the diff. Even with 500k diff oil the diff is not completely locked but very close. Personally what I was last running before my truck broke was 150k front 250k rear and I liked this setup. Turning wasn't horrible and truck seemed to respond better. This will all change depending on the area you run in and your driving style. People running 500k oil are trying to achieve a locked diff without actually locking the diff.
 
I'm running traxxas 100k in the front and back. It will still diff out but not as bad. Turning is still perfect. I'm also running hot racing diffs with the 100k

I run 500k in front and back. It's great on dirt and grass. I had 100k up front and didn't like it. It's a pretty massive vehicle and 100k seemed to be a bit loose if I did any climbing. I wouldn't mind something thicker than 500k in the rear. I rarely drive on pavement because it makes the YXL sad to drive on pavement.
 
Depends what your bashing is but I pretty much keep the YXL on 500k front and rear. This is more because my driving is hill climbs and trails, where 500k is pretty much mandatory.
 
Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I think I'm gonna start out with 250k in front and 500k in the rear. Assuming I can always change it later.
 
I'm sure others will support my recommendation when I say build it stock and drive it. At the same time, read about diff tuning. Then you decide where to go at that point.

I run stock diffs.
