So this light controller states maximum input voltage of 11.4. I was planning on powering this off a 3S battery and nominal voltage of a 3S battery is 11.1 but has a max voltage of 12.6. How can i regulate this down to 11.4 or do i need to even bother?

The clever design of the Dragon taps power directly off your Battery, so you can add as many Insanely Bright Attack LEDs as you want and never have to worry about overloading your receiver! It also has a battery protect feature that will automatically power down the LEDs when your Lipo battery gets low so that you don't over-discharge it.

Considering 3s is the most common battery people run, seems like a dumb decision to build a product that wont handle 3s voltage.

Powershift RC is another option for lighting.

I think it will handle 3s just fine after reading the instructions....it just listed max input voltage of 11.4 in the specs for some reason.

I have some of powershifts roof marker lights and they are really sweet.

I've used them in a few rigs, they are great!! If you're really worried about voltage you can power it though a BEC off the battery connector.

Hilariously overpriced like so many of MyTrickRC's products...
But... but... buttt... it is "Revolutionary and Innovative", using two $10 words in their write up should justify the price...

Get what you pay for on these;) What other product has the same features at a lower cost?? I know of none

It would be nice if they were $39, but when you have no competition, you can charge that much and still have a successful product.
Sarcasm aside, I do agree with this notion. That is why I buy Hey'OKs products. Sure, you can get Amazon trash that might work, might last for a lot less, but with Al's stuff you buy once and cry once, and just not worry about it breaking.

I've been running one of these off a 3s for years with no issues. So unless they've changed em since....
