When it comes to cutting down plastic drive shafts because you added a dig to your crawler or just need to shorten them for some reason. The first thing that comes to mind is to get out the old Dremel® with a cutting wheel, well this works but it leaves a bur all through the cut, that needs to be filed and sanded to get a smooth fit. I found a simple way to do it without all that. Almost everyone has around the house a branch pruner, you know the one with a blade that cuts down to an anvil to trim small branches, if not they are very cheap. Well this will cut the male or female plastic shaft like going through butter, with nothing left to clean up.

PVC Shears work good as do those little pipe cutters that you have to rotate around. Leaves a nice smooth edge.
