seems like my rear bumper gives me plenty of clearance but the front leaves some to be desired as far as approach angle, lets see some custom front bumpers

I was mainly looking for ideas to build my own but after seeing what trost has done I'd like to see him replicate my fullsize

Thanks for the links"thumbsup"

here mine i just built for my honcho. i will b powdercoating it once i clean all the welds up

cool, I have some in the garage, I'm guessing you're soldering it not actually welding right?

Here's some of the front bumpers I've built in the past, if you're looking for ideas

where are you guys getting the scale winches? or are you making them:) If I'm not careful I'm going to end up spending all my time building my RC crawler and not my real one:lmao:

^^^

there's lots of ways to do it. some use MAPP gas and silver solder, some use propane and solder, some use the bernzomatic oxy/acet torch from a hardware store.. i have a bernzomatic oxy/acet torch and learning how to braze but i find it faster to use solid rod and a mig welder. check out the tools and procedures section on learning more about brazing and stuff:mrgreen:

Here is mine. I used 3/16 brass tube and plating. The winch is an RC4WD Bulldog. I really like it, decent approach angle and it dents up like a 1:1 would. I used a MAPP/OXY torch set from Bernzomatic and silver solder. This is my first attempt also.
