Looking for tires for crawling specific. Rock piles, wood piles etc. Any experiences are greatly appreciated. Doug

HB tires are some of the best rock tires i have found. they make the rovers and sedonas in different compounds white seems to be the most popular. Although alot of people are running the voodoo pins also. The only down side to all of these tires is that none of them have a scale look. For scale looking tires i would try either some proline tsl's or like tacocat said something from rc4wd.

Agreed ^^^ if you don't care about scale looks than get the HB Rovers and or Sedonas. They have been the tire of choice for many past years by rock crawling competitors. If you still have the stock scale tires and their in good shape then get these. Having 2 different sets is nice. Just think of what terrain you will be spending most of your time on. If your a basher you definitely don't what the HB tires, you will destroy them quite fast.

I have 2 sets that I use depending on the terrain Im on for the day, if its strictly rocks Im on, than its the HB Rovers I use with weighted wheels, trailing I use the VooDoo U4's. I had the Mikey Thompson Baja Claws but their worn down now.

For the scale look and the areas I crawl....lava rocks the MT Claws work the best. I like to run them backwards they help pull the vehicle up better in my opinion.

The stock Falkens on my G6 do perfect for me, needs stiffer foams but the tires wrap over nicely, can be used as a kind of rubber band effect to help keep forward grip without slips.

I'd have to say the tsl too! They haven't done me wrong yet on rocks wood grassy loose soil gravel u name it

Tsl sx is what I'm running. Like I say they've done awesome and haven't let me down! I hear the pitbulls are sick too tho haven't been able to try em yet. I think my favorite thing on my tsl sx Are the big sidebiters they give me that extra little gripping power I need to get where I wanna go

And I forgot to mention the only real difference between the xl and sx is the xl is a hair taller and a hair wider other than that the same which I'm sure u prob knew that already
