[Nova's Ark]

So the plandemic hit everyone and for myself I continued the hermit lifestyle and used the opportunity to create some new builds in 2020. I pieced together a short wheel base VP build and was so impressed with how it performed that I decided to piece together a second truck with a longer wheel base. The C10 is the longer wheel base and the second truck built this year.

So the SWB build has been running since roughly March of 2020. The photos posted today, were taken today and the use is showing on the rig. This was driven at the December Activated Outlaw get together in the small tire class, which is why it is pictured with:

The factory frame rail ends had to be cut off on the long wheel base truck to improve the approach angle and departure angle.

Very nice, I’m sure they preform amazing. I have 2 set up very similar but with f9 portals and pro portals. Both do amazingly well.

I am so thankful for how these two trucks perform. I placed 3rd in February at the Houston comp in the small tire class with the SWB truck. In March I placed 2nd at the Waco comp in small tire with the SWB truck. At the same comp I finished 2nd with LWB truck in Medium Tire. I've been to busy to keep up with these threads. In April Crawler Innovations Donated two dump trucks worth of iron ore boulder size rocks to the White Oak city remote control park. This Saturday was the First Activated Outlaw get together to try out all the new rock! It was a great get together! Thank you to Brian for helping score and thank you to everyone that came out! Five years later... these two crawlers are still putting in work for CI. Both are in need of body updates though. The SWB is the first to receive a new body. The Willy's body on the short wheel base crawler is being retired while it is still intact. Both roof A pillars are cracked, here's some pictures after five years of use;

I spent all of 2024 involved with competition 2wd RWD drifting through DARC https://www.driftamericarc.com/ in Garland, Texas which is part of the Super G Super-G R/C Drift Arena Super Drift Circuit SUPER-DRIFT.com | FINALS OCT 4-5-6 2024 which is basically the sanctioning body for determining a world champion. It has been a lot of fun and a huge learning experience. Anyways, a local drifter had painted this Tamiya Ford Escort rally body before he realized the wheelbase is too short for a standard competition drift car. We worked out a deal even though I wasn't sure where the body would end up. I may have some trimming to still do, but overall the suspensions cycles and I enjoy the look of something different.
