Class 3 Capra XRmod

So I initially built myself a Bomber with Wraith trans and WB for class 3 in Norway (flat rails not allowed in class 3 there), but that was way too huge and wide for that :ror:
So when I came across a Capra cage, skid and links for cheap, I jumped on that deal.

This is the first revision:
- Capra cage with InTheWorks flat skid
- Grey SCX10II 3gear transmission
- TMaxx rear driveshaft, wb8hd front
- Capra lower links with Jato rod ends for longer WB, homemade upper links
- Dravtech Medium shocks internally limited 5mm with soft front springs and medium rear and Trx8351 caps
- Holmes Puller500 13tXX
- Castle Sidewinder Micro 2
- Holmes SHV800 front servo, SHV500V3 rear servo
- Futaba 25mm servohorns
- Sanwa RX482
- 2.2 Crawler Innovations 6 bolt wheels
- 5.4 Proline Superswamper SX with Crawler Innovations soft front and medium rear foams

- AR44 axles with AR60 C hubs and china brass knuckles front
- Stock short side AR60 shaft on one side and cut long AR60 shaft on other side
- Boom Racing Overdrive gearset 27/8t front and underdrive gearset 33/8 rear

Some dremeling was needed on the skidplate and transmission to fit inside the cage

Then this started to happen a few times on both front and rear, and I got tired of the weak plastic housing :twisted:

As I enjoyed using AR60 outers and was using really wide 850 hubs to get the width I liked, I thought that XRmod AR44 might the way for me.
So a new revision on drivetrain was needed :ror:
- Beeftubes AR44 wide XRmod Brass housing front
- Beeftubes AR44 wide XRmod Aluminium housing rear
- Axial XR10 universals front and rear
- SSD c hubs and knuckles rear
- Vanquish c hubs front
- Dlux Brass knuckles with outer brass ring front (borrowed from my Pro rig meanwhile)
- Boom Racing servo mount rear (printed front, waiting on new parts)

Used the same Boom Racing OD/UD gears as before.

Time to rebuild!

Time for more comps!
I got the XRmod parts on the thursday, 1 day, before I headed to Norway's version of Scale Nationals :twisted:
But got the car ready, and with only driving it 1 min before the comps, I was pretty nervous to see how it would do!

And it ended with a 2. place finish! Very pleased with that, considering little time to test and tune before the comp :)

Then two weeks ago, we did a new local comp where I managed to get 1. place in Class 3 :)
Season ending in that cup is this weekend, so hoping for a new strong finish but competition is tough!

Final round of our cup went down 1 week ago.
It ended with a new 1st place in Class 3 8) pleased with two 1st places in a row!
Sadly I had a bad start in this cup with a 18th place and a DNS, so I only ended up 5th overall.

I have been driving with some 3D printed lower link mounts on the rear axle, and have been afraid of cracking them :shock: So I installed some brass link mounts on the front, and moved the original Axial link mounts to the rear. Along with a brass diff cover on the front axle
