Choose charger

I own a onyx 245 and while it is a nice charger it does not have a storage mode, I don't know if the one you linked does, but I doubt it. So my vote would go to the Hitec, but both are decent.

Cheers,
Wade

Good choice on the battery. That seems to be the sweet spot between size/weight/capacity/power for a scaler.

The Hitec you've listed is a good option.

I'm running a Thunder AC6 that is similarly priced. Been working mint for 2+ years now with literally hundreds of chargings.

The hitec works great, you can find them on eBay for a little less, I had one for a couple months then upgraded to the x4 to charge 4 batties at once

I picked up the hitec x1 acdc and so far i love it lets me charge my lipos and the kids nimhs at home or from my truck when were out"thumbsup" also gives me the discharge and storage modes

I have two Hyperion E0606i ac/dc chargers, they are very good and accurate. I also have a Prophet duo sport which is good but has no storage and is slightly less accurate. (Verified with a Fluke voltmeter.)

I highly recommend the Hyperion.

Both charges are god entry level chargers. I've got a Hitec (X1 MF), my friends use the Onyx 235 and both work well, I just proffer the Hitec and the specs were a little better. The Hitec keeps my 2S and 3S packs balanced at or below .007v between cells.

Amazon - Hitec X1 MF AC/DC Charger

TrakPower and Graupner have great, high quality chargers if you want a high end charger with a lot of power, but you don't need to spend much on a good AC/DC charger that balances LiPos well.
