Thought I would share with you folks my current WIP.

The vision is a Chevy K30 recovery truck.

The truck is basically a Frankenstein of various parts.

The chassis is a stretched CEN F450, the axles are Axial SCX10II, gearbox iss an SSD scale tranny and the bed is that found on a traxxas hauler.
Other details include a Hobbywing fusion 1200kv SE motor powering the axles through three ( yes you read right) Lesu driveshafts.

The body is an RC4WD blazer body chopped and a Shrink RC cab back panel glued in.

The side boxes are custom made and used to house the lipo and receiver. The file tank is by King Kong.

Mudflaps are custom made by me and mounted using Tamiya King Hauler hardware.

The bed is functional and is operational from the radio via a pair of actuonix actuators that plug directly into the receiver.

Below is just a few photos and videos to wet your appetite.

Simply INCREDIBLE!

Words fail me....:shock::shock::shock:

Here's a little update on the Chevy flatbed.
Cab is painted, custom decals bug deflector and sun visor are fitted.
Just need to wait on the windows arriving so I can fit the Traxxas 79 blazer dash from GRC and some other bits and bobs.

Very nice build man! If I had the cash I would love to do something similar using the traxxas K10 cab with hauler bed and frame rails.

Wow, now this is a killer build. You did a fantastic job with all the small details, etc. Props!

Nicely done!

I started to build a sliding flat bed based off an RC4wd TF2 that I made custom stretched frame rails mimicking the stocker but gave up just built it with a 4Runner body :(

Damn that thing is sick. How did I not see this thing earlier???
