I encountered this problem that my Castle link does not connect of any of my 3 CC BEC.

I have tried to plug in battery as well as per the FAQ suggesion but to no avail. The castle link program has the USB connection green light and the BEC also has the green light on it lit up but the device connection status remained red.

It connects to any of my Sidewinder, Mamba and Br-XL no problem.

The Software version is V3.51.05. It seems since I upgraded to this version the problem began. Not too sure about it, but it was working alright before.

Any one of you guys experience that?

I have tried and it works just fine..
EDIT:
I dont use battery at all though, to talk between them

are the becs hooked uo to the esc already? meaning are the power connections spliced into the sidewinder's? if so, try unattaching them ffrom the esc and program the becs alone, i had the same problem yesterday, it recognized the bec the first time hooked up to the esc and then after that first try it wouldn't, i tried eveything to no avail, until i took the connection from the power of the esc and bingo worked like a charm.

Tried that too but does not work. I even reinstall the software, also no go. I read somewhere that the castle link not fully support window vista. Will try on my netbook window xp, to see if it works there.

Ok problem solved. You have to install the software as per the instructions given on the site. Thar means save the exe file and "run as administrator", you can't just run it after it is downloaded. My bad....

Yeah, I did reinstall the software, but run it directly after download, which doesn't work. You have to save it first and run it using "run as adminstrator (right click option)"....

hey guys...

I had the same issue here.
so, the best way is to setup the CCBEC voltage before attach to ESC, right?

I don't think so.

Was your issue "not talking" or Windows 7??

I routinely change CC BEC settings, but if in a rig, I just plug in a pack and program away.8)

my issue was "not talking", and I just unattach CCBEC from my FXR, then I connect to castle link, and it works!
but it didn't work before I unattach them:shock:

Next time you could just plug in a battery pack, then the CC link to program. With the BEC connected to the ESC & no battery pack, the CC link is trying to power the BEC & ESC.
