Anyone else carve cool pumpkins this year? Pumpkin is such a fun medium to work with. I always start out thinking what a pain it’s going to be to carve all of this. Then once I’m in my groove it’s fun. At the end it’s very rewarding and the kids love it. That’s what it’s all about.

Here are the two I did for the girls this year. Just finished up the second one a few minutes ago.

I haven't carved a pumpkin in years. Always enjoyed it though. What you have done there is excellent. Mine were never that detailed

Thanks guys! It takes some time to do it the way I do, but it’s worth it in the end.

Yours look great! Never tried the scraping for the shading but these are my two from this evening.

Those look great bro!

My wife is one hell of an artist so she draws them and I carve them. Professionals have special tools. I use to use the dremel to do a lot of it, but I have changed to using some scraper/cutter tools I made a couple years ago out of some scrap aluminum and a exacto knife.

Here’s one I did last year. I’ll have to get the wife to send me the ones from other years.

Those pumpkins look amazing ... great work ... I helped the kids carve some last week they did a couple of small ones themselves and definitely a fun and therapeutic activity.
