Im looking for a esc for my hairy spider I have a brushed motor now and a brushless on the side so I'm looking for a esc that can run both

I've been looking at the furitek lizard or python

also the sidewinder nano

these things are so damned expensive I don't want to waist my money on a pos lol

any opinions thanks

I'll be watching for recommendations. I picked up an SCX24 Deadbolt and, the current setup leaves a lot to be desired.

The SCX24 V2 (blue) esc seems to be the better factory set up , I have 2 . The newest spectrum esc on the scx24 / AX24 is terrible.

What brushless motor you got on the side?

I have been running furitek since they came out and haven’t had any issues. The app settings are just the icing on the cake to really get dialed in.
My vote is for the lizard pro unless you want to run 4s then the python would be for you.

Currently have over 30 micros in my hoard running various furitek setups and have been very happy with how they perform brushed and brushless.

Furitek, Dinky RC, Mofo RC. So far reviews are far from favorable for the Castle Nano. I’m a Furitek guy because the Bluetooth app is really easy to use and much more convenient than having to plug into a computer.

Another Furitek fan here. I have the original caseless Lizard Pro (Tiny little thing!) with a Micro Komodo in my Deadbolt. Also have the FX118 Fury wagon that has the cased version with the Venom brushless. App tuning is awesome - Bluetooth app is simple to use, make changes on the fly!!

Other than stock esc's I have 1 Injora MB100 (brushed only) the others are Furitek, couple of Momentums, a couple I can't remember the models off hand plus a Lizard. They all work well but for crawlers the Lizard Pro is by far the best. I too like the BT app to fine tune them.

I will back up what everyone else has said. The Furitek are amazing. I have two of the lizard pros and being able to make changes on the fly with the BT connection is amazing. Debating about replacing my injora esc in my other TRX4m and going brushless on it as well.

Piggybacking this thread. Building a nw chassis athos and deciding what electronics to run. I only have v1 and v2 esc and brushed power in my current fleet. Thinking about going brushless with the athos. The furitek 2s starter set up seems decent for the money. The esc can handle 3s.

I got my athos xl setup with a lizard pro and mini Komodo with scx trans on fcx axles. It’s a beast of a rig. One of the best chassis’s around imo.

Dinky RC. Got two of those. Trx4 ripper, crawl gears, meus portals, this thing crawls for sure.
There is programming available but as I purchased it was set up for particular kv motor and don't feel the need to change anything.

A few weeks back I went to a crawler comp and heard several of the more experienced drivers complain of brown outs with the furitek. I like dinky and also there is the new hotness vt3k but they are $90 for an esc! To much for me.
