Boston Crawlers 2015 Nationals Qualifier and Outdoor Series

Hey Everyone,

It is getting to be that time of year again. Pretty soon the winter will end (if it ever actually starts) and we can get out on the rocks again. Last year was a great year for New England Crawling with two strong clubs and the Crawler Worlds hosted by BC in Rhode Island. This year Boston Crawlers will be running our Nationals Qualifier and our Outdoor Crawling Series again. The First 5 events will be for the nationals qualifier and all 8 events will count towards the outdoor series. Nothing has been posted yet but there are rumors of a California Worlds Comp in September.

We will be running a 2.2P class and a 2.2S class for the nationals qualifier. The first and second place finishers in each class will be given invitations to compete at the USRCCA Nationals Event in September. The Class will not be run if there are not 4 entrants to the class.

For all 8 events will we also be hosting a "Run what you Brung" class. This class is open to anyone with any vehicle they want to try to get around on the rocks (2.2, scaler, multi axle, whatever), though please do not bring Nitros to our events. The one catch is if you enter the run what you brung you cannot compete in 2.2S or 2.2P. The idea is to get people out to have some fun getting their rigs through some gates and to get them exposed to some rock crawling without the stress of a very competitive class.

All entrants in the Nationals series will use their highest 4 event scores out of the 5 events. And all Entrants in the Outdoor series will use their highest 6 event scores out of the 8 events. This allows everyone to miss one or two events without losing their chance at doing well.

As always our events are free to enter, though you will occasionally have to pay for parking. I hope to have some sponsors announced soon so we can give prizes to the days winner and overall series winners.

This years Dates and Locations are as follows. Locations will be filled in soon, we have a couple new spots to scout. The dates will not change after January 31st, unless there is an issue with the weather so feel free to put them in your calender. If there is a weather problem we usually hold the event the next day (Sunday) so keep that in mind.

There are quite a few, Brendan and I looked at our calendars to make sure we could both attend all our dates and those happened to be the weekends we were both available. I did not notice the "conflict" until after we had posted it :\

Way to make all summer back to back weekends for comping ?
A little rephrase/punctuation...

Way to make all summer back to back weekends for comping!!!!!!!!!!

You guys F'n rock! ;)

(Guess if I get bored or feel comps are too far apart here, I can travel!)

I'll take some of the blame for the schedules and really hope that everyone can make all the dates. I was mostly responsible for the OCK schedule in CT, and I never contacted the BC Boys to coordinate things. I think with the number of talented drivers in the area, it makes sense for the clubs to work together - I'm sure everyone wants to have good turnouts and great competition"thumbsup"

Again-my bad

Wow i was just saying cause i just noticed it .. It is all good no need to go changing everyones schedule .. It happans sometimes .. It will just make those weekends more fun right ;) i just wont be able to make as many as i was hoping to .

Please note that event #4 has been moved from June 6th to may 30th due to a scheduling conflict. Hopefully this does not create any problems for anyone, thanks for your flexibility.

Soooooooo.... How's the rock at Chandler Hovey park? :)

Looks like I can stack comps 2 weeks in a row, take a week off, then the NENC.... ;)

What do you guys think about moving July 25th to July 18th? Brendan and I both have conflicts and it would be a double header with Connecticut. Please respond one way or another so I can get an idea for impact of move.

I got yelled at last time I didn't say anything lol but the 18th I work and the 25th I am off ...... was planning to come up the 25th.

But you guys do what fits everyone best. "thumbsup"

I'll just keep feeling like no one wants me in MA

the 25th is a no-go for me. 18th would be better.
