I sold my comp rigs shortly after the Worlds last year (just burnt out) and then shortly before the Arizona Summer Shootout I drove CRAWLER-DADS mini and got the bug all over again. I worked out a deal with one of our local guys for a bone stock mini and then sold a bunch of crap to buy my upgrades.

First time out with the mini was at the Arizona Summer Shootout with an untested rig using a borrowed Fubar Mini Skeeter chassis (CRAWLER-DAD) which is what I had always run so I knew how to tune it and felt pretty comfortable with it. I ended up taking 4th place, just a couple points behind Del Monte so I was feeling good. I took 1st in '09 so I guess I still had it.

Knowing I needed to get my own chassis I decide to try something new. I am not one who likes change but felt I needed to see what else was out there for my mini and that's where the GC3 comes in.

Sorry for the bmuzz history lesson, so on to the build.

Well its about time for a build thread..looks great and last time out at New Papago..it was working well..looking forward to see how it does this weekend...now you just need some 1.9 Hb rovers "thumbsup"

Yeah I am pretty happy with this chassis and the rig as a whole. I wasn't too happy about giving up my steering set-up under the servo but that may come back eventually with the use of a RcBros light weight servo mount.

I did move my shocks to the outside of the axle mounts for a little more stability (I'm thinking), we'll see how it works out tomorrow. I also moved my rear upper links to the middle hole on the chassis, not that it was a problem on the lower hole, but figured it wouldn't hurt to try.

I took the rig up to Prescott this weekend for NARCCA's first comp of the season and it worked really well.

Here are the results from the 1.9 comp.

1.9 Mini's
................C1..C2....C3...TTL
1.Brian/bmuzz1......5...-13...-12...-20
2.Robert/Redlinerob..-3.....7....-11...-7
3.James/jamesdicken....3....-1....-2.....0 "running my rig"
4.Marc/CRAWLER-DAD.....7.....13...-8.....12
5.Ryan/Winkscrawler.....6......5.....5.....16
6.Kolby/Jeepman128....16.....6.....10....32
7,Alec.....32....24....-15....41
8.Matt/matteo112.....26...30....15....61

PARC's first comp is Sunday the 26th so we'll see how I do then. The 1.9 turn out for our events is pretty big with anywhere from 20 to 30 drivers typically and some great ones at that...Redlinerob, CRAWLER-DAD, MTHead, AZvader, and new this season Krawlfreak. This should be an awesome season! 8)
