Curious if anyone has run these and what are your thoughts on them? Hold up well with clod tires? Looking to build a tube chassis and need to find the axles I wana use. Looking for more info.

Mike

I would look into the Digger axles from RC4WD. The width is more suited to a monster truck and they definitely look the part!

yeah ive thought about those too. i like those and they are wider than the blackwells. and it looks like parts are more readily available seeing how different gears and spider gears can be used vs blackwell

They seem to be holding up pretty good from what I am hearing. I know that there are several guys running them in monster trucks with no reports of repeat failures...unless self inflicted lol

at 16.5in wide thought thats nuts vs a clod is 16...but if they hold up they would be worth it. and finding the right wheelbase. i have a body now thats 12.2 i think now.... not sure if it would look right being that wide and short.

the digger axles are 11.5 wide from hex to hex . most monster truck kits have a 13 to 13.5 wheel base length . that body would work fine .

That's kinda what I was thinking. But a 13in wheelbase with a body wheelbase that much different idk how it would look.

right . you can make your wheel base what ever you want . just make the trailing arms shorter . take a 1/2 inch out of the front and 1/2 inch out of the rear . that will put you at 12.5 . you can make it what ever you want . shorter or longer ..

I know that. I just didn't know what a normal wheelbase was for a MT last truck a build had a huge wheelbase which was good for certain things. But trying to keep everything more in the "scale" array of things.
