I'm putting together a Tamiya Bronco for my wife, she claims all the RC stuff . Had a good build weekend with Squatch71.

Started with a SCX10 and moved the trany mount forward so all the links are the same length on the shortened frame. Used an extra set of front shock towers flipped around for the rear to keep the shock upright.

Installed a Hands Bros kit and shortened the link so everything works correctly. Wheelbase looks pretty good.

Still have allot to do on it but I think I have a good start. Another shot of it with the bumpers on it. They look a little wide so I might have to cut them down.

Looks like you're off to a great start. Here is mine, same bumpers and body but I added the axial dingo flares. Makes the tires not stick out so bad and the bumpers fit better too.

Big78, this Bronc is gonna whoop ass! I love the way the SCX-10 frame looks all shortened like that. What's the wheelbase on that now? This rig should be really capable. I can't tell from the pics, but how much did you shorten the frame and how did you do it?

I know I'm a tool, but what kind of bumpers are those? They look damn good. Another thought if you're gonna pursue fender flares is the SDI flares. I have a set of them if you wanna try mocking them up, I'm not using them yet.

So far so good man! I like it.

Started working on an interior, first time building with styrene.

Mocked it up with cardboard first to get the general shape.

Ran out of time so it's currently sitting like this waiting for the wheel wells to be bent over.

That looks good man. I am in the process of building my SCX-10 Bronco as well and I never thought to "prep" the interior first via cardboard.

Nice job "thumbsup"

Time to get to work

The lower links are 70mm, the uppers are 43mm and the link for the Hands Brothers Kit is 50mm. The wheel base is 10 inches.

Got a little bit more done on the Bronco, working on the interior when it isn't 12 below (got everything setup in Squatch71's garage).

Making the main floor pan

Now what to do about the big hole for the transmission
1113002340a-1.jpg

Decided to build a bench seat to cover the mess.
1113002337.jpg

This is where it is at now. Hope to get more done this week

 OH man. You guys been drinking? Take my advice. Don't put anything in the oven. "thumbsup"

Looks good big78! Ya know, once you start with the styrene, you're never gonna quit.

That's a tough one, trying to cover that whopping transmission, but it looks like you got a good start on it.

Squatch71 hooked me up with some pics of the progress.

I added some bracing to the floor.
1130001903.jpg

Built the bracing up to meet the frame at the front
1130001917.jpg

Then I gave the seat some more detail so it looks better
1130001939a.jpg

I built it up to give it some depth
1130002033a.jpg

That looks better
1130002036.jpg

Gave it some shape
1130002147.jpg

Now I'm figuring out the dash
1130002122a.jpg

A rough idea of what I might do.
