Was just reading dr frankensyles build thread and saw his battery tray mod. I love the idea but have a question.

Am I better off with the battery as far forward as possible or as low as possible? Or otherwise, is it possible to spin the battery tray 180 degrees and have both?!

So I decided to try it, I figure lower by that half inch is better than further forward.

Cut out one side of the tray and it fit right in with the wires that come out of the corner of the battery filling the "gap" on the other side.

The battery dropped so low that there was now a gap between the battery and the strap that holds it in even on the lower setteing so I stuck a piece of foam onto the under side of the strap.

Very happy with how that all worked out!
