My old worn out tf2 Yota front axle need some tlc.
Is it a better idea to just buy a new complete axle? If so what would be a nice upgrade from the Yota axle? The Yota 2? Boomracing brx90? Are there other axles that would fit?

I hope this help [emoji1417]

Are the k44 axles anymore durable than the yota or yota 2. I’ve got a couple of knuckle bolts that keep stripping and I’m getting tired of them doing this. Housing wise are they any better.

I've had decent luck installing m3 helicoils in the kingpin screw holes on my Yota2's. I must have broken 3 or 4 helicoils in the process of installing 4, but the stainless steel threads hold much better than the butter-soft potmetal of the stock housings. Better than new for less money than a replacement housing.

Do those boom racing axles actually steer that sharp without binding the Ujoints? If so, that's impressive. Next question, what's the max size tire you can run without all the angle allowing the tire to kiss the leaf springs?

I dont know the maximum steering of this axle, but i limit the throw with stopper that came with the axle.. i run rc4wd patagonia scale 4.1 tires that pretty wide tire for me.

Do you have a Part number for the kit that you used?

Got my Brx90 axles mounted and trail tested. The gearing is now way to low for my taste. What gearing do you run with Brx90/ar44 axles on the trailfinder?

No. I have the K44's on my TF2 and I feel they are just as bad if not worse than the stock ones.
