Howdy everyone!

So, this is wishful (positive!) thinking that Axialfest is gonna take place in June at the Badlands in IN. It's close for me to drive, so I am contemplating building a SCX10ii.

I know how I would equip the rig, so my big conundrum is what body to use.

My first thought was to go with a Mog. I've wanted to build a Mog for years.

But perhaps I should do a Honcho. It would be a tribute to my first Axial RC. It's still running strong too!

So whichever I chose to build, I would want to build a tube cage for the rear with some scale diamond plate.

I've got a little over 2 months!!! YIKES!

Ok, wish me luck!

Cheers,
Doc

Good luck, hopefully axial fest will happen. It's still on my bucket list to attend to one day.

Howdy everyone!

I got the kit and am working on it, so here’s my question; will this Tekin motor fit in the SCX10 II?

I have the same motor & plenty of 10.2s... Dimensionally it will fit without any fuss. The only thing I could potentially see being an issue is the pinion, since this motor has a 5mm shaft. The larger bore may limit your pinion gearing options.

You can get pinions with 5mm bore down to 11t, which so happens to be the smallest you can put on a 32p 3 gear with the stock spur, and still have proper gear mesh.

Thank you for the info!

Currently the electronics reside in my Tekno SCT, so do I pull them out that, or try to sell it and buy new stuff... decisions, decisions, decisions...

Cheers

I'm a little confused on the info above but!

I've been a long time racer and just got into rock crawlers. I bought the raw builders kit as well.

So it comes with ax10 transmission (silver) and the axles are the ar44 axles which are solid. This info is valuable if you upgrade stuff down the line.

Anywho, so i used my old electronics from racing and they worked fine! You'll tune and adjust and they stuff will work... however... i have since upgraded to the HW AXE FOC system.... and world of difference.

My wife who notices nothing when i make adjustments or swap electronics.. can tell the difference from driving AXE FOC vs my other electronics...

Howdy y’all!

So I was working on my build last night and noticed the following... both front and rear screws on the pumpkin housings are coming through! Did I tighten the screws too tight?
