Was crawling in some water and the steering stopped working. Then shortly after I lost all functions. I couldn’t even give it throttle. Unplugged battery and plugged it back in and the esc gave me a beep like it usually does. Compete noob to this. Just bought it 3 weeks ago. Thanks for the help in advance!

I rode in water all day today though. Axial says the esc and servo are water proof from factory. Are they just sucky waterproof?

The Axial AE-5 ESC is about as waterproof as an ESC can be. The servo is more "splash-proof" than waterproof. Haven't seen a TacTic servo on anything Axial that came close to being able to be submarined. As far as I know none of the stock receivers used over the years by Axial as RTR supplied equipment are waterproof.

If you keep running it in water you'll start to have issues with corroded connectors as well. Suggest some dielectric grease on all the plug-in connectors.

Lots of waterproofing info on this forum and YouTube. If you want to keep swimming, would be worth checking out.

I found out it was the servo. I unplugged the servo from my esc and I had throttle control again. I didn’t know the servo was actually just splash resistant not waterproof until today. Thanks for the info though. Will look into it on my next servo!
