So I know this is a crawler forum, but for the Axial SMT10, I was told that the diffs are open and I wanted to lock the rear diff. Would I have to put a Wraith or bomber axle or just get some parts? Thanks

The axle running gear is essentially the same between the Wraith, Bomber, Yeti, and SMT10, so you would just need to throw one of these lockers in, or one of these if you want the best.
Don't bother with the Axial lockers. They wear quickly! Pick up the LockedUp RC one or even the Incision. That's all you should need.
You might also want to upgrade your ring and pinion gears to HD while you're at it. Those are the next failure points after you lock the diff.

Ok thanks! One other question. What would be a good brushless esc/motor combo for less than $100? I'm thinking about a 21 turn motor with running a nimh 3000mAh 7.2 volt venom battery. No lipo batteries for me! I am looking for a little more speed but mainly torque for some trail drives and jumps. Thank you!
