ASTR 2016/2017 Scale Comp Schedule

Here is the ASTR Scale Comp Schedule for 2016/2017 Round 2

This Second half of the season is for all the marbles. Starting at the first event you will finish out the season running the truck you show up with. Only subtle changes are allowed like electronics, tires, minor body or tube mods, etc. All else must remain the same, example: body, chassis, etc.

You can expect courses to be relatively similar to the beginning of the season with the addition of bonus gates on every course and a few gates here and there that may not be doable without the use of a winch.

Course run time will be reduced by 1 minute from 8 to 7 minutes.

Comp Dates are as follows:

January 15th - 9 Tables

February 12th - TBD

March 12th - 9 Tables

April 9th - TBD

May 6th - 7th - Final Comp & Camp-n-Crawl - Watson Lake Park and campground

****Here's what's new for the 2016/2017 ASTR Scale Comp season****

-We will now be collecting $5 per comp per driver (Not per class)

-We will all be required to judge at the comp. One driver runs then judges the next driver in line and so on. For those that haven't judged before we will assist you until you get the hang of it.

-We will be teching all vehicles before the start of each comp.

-There will be No alcohol allowed during the running of the scale comp for safety reasons. If you are seen with alcohol you will be asked to put it away until after the comp. If you have to be asked a second time you will be asked to leave. What you do after the comp is your business.

-I'd also like to add, if you are a smoker of the non tobacco type, please be mindful when there are children present and don't light up.

Thank you all and I am looking forward to another awesome season of crawling!

Good thing is I don't think I will have to miss any comps. Unless Katie plans something

Hi there, I'm interested in attending the October 18th crawling meet. Around what time will you all be meeting?

The comps start around 8am and brian will be there early to set up courses and there will be a $5 comp fee if you run, no charge to spectate.

Hey there, i don't know if you guys already do this when you all get together but just in case you don't i was thinking of introducing a scale crawler competition where rigs are judged based on the accessories and detail put into them. I don't know, I just felt like puting the idea out there as a recommendation to add another form of competition. What do you think?

Have you read the scale rules yet Luis? If you have not you can find a link to them in the Oct 18 comp thread. there is also info regarding the event and classes described there.
You can also find ASTR on FB.
