Hello friends, today I want to tell you a little of the last quadcopter that has joined the family.
It is an AOSENMA CG035, a quad who incorporates a GPS that is possible to connect and disconnect at your whim .. With functions like his biggest competitors ..

Follow me mode, automatic return, point of interest (of 360º looking to the center), failsafe and headless mode and of course altitude hold.

This dron of the manufacturer AOSENMA Toys, but is not exactly a toy, it have brushless motors quite powerfull, besides already having a considerable weight.
It is recommended for beginners, but not for leaving to a child unattended.

dDWtVZz.jpg

The CG035 is available in two versions, the Standard version (the one I have) and the 1080P version (which is exactly the same but includes camera and monitor)
, after looking at the two models, at last I was not convinced by the camera of the 1080p model, obviously I have not tried but what little I have been able to find out
* about the gimball was not enough to convince me.

On the other hand, the dron seems very interesting for many things, the first is cheap (compared to other drones that promise the same thing), another
Feature that I like, is its size, not as big as a phantom, is rather the size of my Robocat, making it easy and comfort if you have to carry it.
I also like the option of failsafe, just about a month ago, I lost my MJX along with Goprohero, something failed and the dron went flying with the camera of 200€ on top for to never return back.. it is assumed that with this, should not happen, if everything goes wrong, or the connection is lost
*The transmitter, the dron will automatically return to the point where it takes off.

Well, as a video is worth more than 10 thousand words, here I leave the boxing I have recorded.

Video Unboxing AOSENMA TOYS CG035
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SYwpsvK7BiE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

What you find in the box:
1x Instruction manual (English and Chinese)
1x Drone AOSENMA CG035
1x Broadcaster
1x Batteria 7,4v 2600mah
1x Charger
1x Spare Screw Set + Screwdriver

The Dron:
Esthetically I think it's very cool, but it reminds me look of the MJX that I lost. It has a nice line and is painted in a bright white color that
Gives a different look and quality finish. The frame of this dron is made of a plastic that is pleasant to the touch, just like the transmitter. I think they make a very good couple.

Let's talk a little about its functions:

Automatic take-off and landing.
As a good beginner, I will start at this point, always a little scared the first few times, especially land, well with this quadcopter not have this problems more.
since with 3 pulsations you can make it land /take off alone. (It is recommended to have it one and a half or two feet off the ground before activating this option)

Follow me: Well, this function seems to me amazing! The dron will follow you wherever you go. To rectify the position of the nose, we must leave the following way
And reorient it if necessary manually. Once in the desired position is activated again and ready.

Headless mode: This function for (which I am not very good pilot and besides I do not see very well) is the best one that has! ,, This mode works perfectly and I recommend it
For all those who do not know how to pilot and need to learn.

Failsafe mode: Another super funcion that promises this little one, is .. in case everything goes wrong, it alone would try that to enter in that way when losing the signal and return
Safe and place were it take of.

Height Control: Another of these great functions that make life easier to allo of those that we are starting in this of the quadcopters, that the dron holds
Automatically height altitude is another dimension for pilos. ilove it.

Point of interest: This is very interesting if you are recording video, this model although it is the one that comes without camera, like its brother with camera, it brings all the
Connections and supports to connect a gimall of 2 axes to the dron. Or make some invention (like what I have in mind with another camera) to be able to couple other things.

Automatic return: As this function, although I have tried it has returned (not always near where I take off) obviously has its advantage, with a
Just click the dron will come back alone. I say that I have not always returned to the exact site, but at least it has returned. That if it could also be due to a
Poor coverage of GPS satellites in that place ,, other times it worked perfect.

aLIbdGD.jpg

The command: As I said before, this pimp! Made in a pleasant touch and already with a considerable size. Functions with 4 AA batteries, (few for my taste)
The manufacturer promote 300 meters, I still have not taken it that far and I would not risk it. I think this comfortable in a range of 170/150 meters. The use of
Combinations in the positions of the command, at first may seem a bit confusing but ends up being comfortable soon.

cXDnch8.jpg

The battery:
This AOSENMA incorporates a battery of two sets of 7.4v 2600mah, The flight time may vary depending on the mode of flight and the accessories that we have
Hooked to the dron, but among all, an average of 12 minutes of flight. Not bad because of the weight of the dron and I really did not expect it to fly more than 10 minutes,
(But the manufacturer in this case says that the flight time is 15 to 20 minutes)
The good point is that the batteries of this quadcopter, are common ones, easy to get, or simply you can buy spare parts of the original for about 15 € each battery.

2ZK3quf.jpg

Personal conclusion.
This dron of the discord has many followers, but also many enemies .. Of course, it is easy to criticize the precision of your flight modes if you have a phantom.
(Which would have cost € 700), I will not go into comparisons, much less with a phantom, but if I say that this dron "low price" has nothing to envy to many
, A lot of that avalanche of dornes that there is lately in the market.
This is clear that it is not a racing dron, (although it runs quite if you remove the GPS) fine and easy to control .. so you do not have to worry about anything just to enjoy.
But look, I repeat! It is cheap but this is not a toy! Those engines if they hook you they will make you go to the hospital.
Thanks to the brackets you carry in the chassis, I think it would be a good dron to mount a fvp on it, since there is a lot of space, and strength has plenty.
To which I take glasses, at least I have to do the test.

lOsZ3vC.jpg

I have heard people speak badly about this dron, but I think what is happening is that there is some confusion with the models, THis one is an updated model, but it still has the same name
Which it had before. There is a version od this drone, that does not have GPS, and that version is true, leaves much to be desired. But in this model, at least tfor me, at the moment works me wonderfully.

Here I leave a short list of what for me are its pros and cons

Pros
One of the most economical drones on the market with GPS
Follow me
Retourn home
Safe Mode
Point of interest
Height control
Possibility to deactivate GPS

Cons
Gimball (in the version with camera)
Camara (In the version with camera)

Nice video and review. 8) That drone seems to have a lot of good features for a really good price. It's only about 1/4 the price of others like it, I may have to get one. :D

:) yes,, i need to do some more test, but at moment what i have done, im pretty happy with it,, it have a usb on the brain, but i cant find any info about how to conect the drone to the computer, i belive this is for changeparameters or may be for have a flight planner.. , what happen with this, is aosenma make a similar model with no gps , what i wa a completly disster xDD , i see some videos talking rally bad of the odl model,, but naw looks they start to do thinks better.

Thanks for stop and coment frankenstyle , agretting

I checked them out online, the Phantoms are way too pricey for my budget, but these are affordable for a rookie pilot like me. It seems that the technology is getting better and cheaper. I wonder if their camera gimbal will work with Fat Shark goggles.
Thanks again for sharing it.

yes defnly they are going chepper,, some dais ago i see it for 140€ , wha t i belive is a good deal for one with duble gps. i just got 2 new batteries arrive :) 15 each,, and i have more than 30min fun naw,, just love it..

I just ordered one online, $170 with the new 1080 camera and gimbal set-up. I'll probably get an extra battery or 2. It should get here soon, then I'll be watching your videos again. :)
Thanks again for sharing, and Merry Christmas.

soo happy to read this frankenstyle :) , I'll be waiting for your opinion about the camera that brings, I saw some videos that I do not like, but there are rumors that some bring a new camera design, I hope if is true your one bringgs this .. I some videos I've seen seems That it shakes a bit the gimball and the camera seems to be a little sideways. I am waiting to have a little time to design a coupling for mine (3d print) and to be able to mount my minicamara on the osenma. I will also incorporate my camera AIO to be able to realize FPV with this little, will share the design here one time is done for you to have a look.

Greetings and Merry Christmas

have a nice weekend :)

Well, my 'copter arrived last week, but .... so did the rain. So that gave me time to read thru the instructions, watch your videos again for GOOD instructions :) , and charge everything. The new 1080p camera/monitor set-up isn't in the instructions, so it took a bit to figure out how to charge it and the monitor. A usb charger is included and after some head scratching I got them charged and was ready for yesterdays clear weather.
Thanks to your videos, I got the GPS' set up, and hit the auto take-off button. All I can say is WOW :D this thing is EASY to fly! I'm a super rookie pilot but it practically flies itself. Headless mode works great and the altitude hold makes it simple to fly. :) I tried the "follow" feature and it worked amazingly well. Auto-land works great too. I still have more to try, but by the time the charger refilled the battery (slooowly) it was dark, so I only got 1 flight .... and it's raining again today.
I did try the camera/gimbal and it turned out good and bad. The good is that it takes pretty good images and video, the bad is the gimbal. It loses "level" and ends up leaning to the left or right. I had to constantly correct it and it still leaned most of my shots. So I unplugged the l/r servo-motor and taped it in place, I'll see if it shoots level next time. The camera battery also ran down just after the flight ended, not a good sign. I ordered another battery for the 'copter so I hope the camera battery will last longer than one flight-pack. While I waited for the supplied charger to refill the 'copter battery I soldered up a connector-lead to fit my smart charger. Next time I can balance charge the batteries and it shouldn't take 5 hours. Mine came with a 3200mah pack, so it took a bit longer.
I tried the camera system with my Fat-Shark and the monitor/receiver will pick up the 'sharks camera/tx, but the 'shark goggles won't receive the 'copter's camera signal. Oh well, at least I have a monitor for the 'shark. :D And I got the 'copter With the camera for $165, still a great deal even if the gimbal is cheesy.
I'll do some more flights, when the weather gets better, and let you know how it goes.
Thanks again for posting the videos, I don't think I would have gotten the GPS calibrated properly without you. :D They also helped with the switch positions.:)

awesome friend frankenstyle!! soo happy to read your mesage. really helpfull info what you get us. im happy the video helo you to calibrate ejeje, the instructions are just mad.

i cant remeber were you buy it. i sey this becouse some of my subs on youtube what have buy the fpv version on bangood (with the ofert they got) and looks like this units from this shop was in "not good condition" most of they was reporting problems this las weeks , isues like bad ESC or faulty motor in almost of cases (with the consequence of crash oviusly) , also some isues what causes repentine power stop (caused for bad soldering conexion inside) i dont seing yours is one of this, but if you have buy it in this store, i recomend you to have a nice inspecion on it. (if you have chance) , check solderings and see if you see somethink strange, also , check the noise of the bearings of the motors and see if they sound nice.. is some one sounds strange , oil they,, also check all the screws ate tight.. etc.. you know just a nice cheking everywere.. some people sey they find lose screws what is not nice oviusly.. just check it all around bro,, It would be a shame that something happened to it.

I hope you enjoy it for a long time. waiitng for more of your feedbacks of this little.. jeeje also make some fotos and show it to us wen have some time.

Thank You for the heads-up, mine is from BangGood, and there were loose screws. Here's the one I got.

I should have checked it BEFORE the first flight, but after flying once, one motor was missing 3 of the mounting screws and more than half of the other motors' screws were loose. The body screws were OK, but the one motor was wobbling with one, loose screw. Luckily I have some 2mm stainless screws, so I filed the heads on 3 of them and replaced the missing ones. Now it's all tight, even after another flying session.
Here's an under-side shot, the camera version has a slide-mount on the bottom. It would be easy to make a mount for my gopro cam'.

One of the first things I did with mine was to heat the stem for the monitor and bend it upwards a bit to get more room for the switches. It was pretty tight with the monitor tilted down. I just use a zip-tie to hold the camera's antenna to the 'copter's leg. I opened the camera to check the battery size, but it's all in Chinese, so I can't tell it's capacity. It ran down before the flight pack on the second flight, so I may put in a bigger battery. While I had the case opened, I tucked the wire for the L/R gimbal servo into the case. I like it much better with it unplugged and the gimbal taped "level".

We got one nice day last week, before the wind came in, so I got a second flight in and took a few new shots. My house is in a small clearing surrounded by forest, so I went to a nearby neighbors to do some open-air flying. Here are some shots from about tree-top high ....

... or just above power-line level ....

The GPS seems to work really well. It holds position nicely, and the headless mode makes it easy to fly. I'm happy with the image quality from the camera, and the up/dn function seems to hold steadier.

This time my balance charger refilled the flight-battery in 117 minutes, and showed 3342mah. That's much better than the 5+ hrs before. :D
My spare battery should get here soon, and if the weather cooperates, I'll get some more time in the air.
Can't wait to see how the case works out. :D

Thanks again for all of the helpful info and videos.

soo cool! nice job witht he fpv screen place. defnly was need it. The botom of your drone looks diferent to my one,, my have not the clip,, probably becouse is not the FPV version , just have the 4 little plstic tubes what i use for atach the 3d sport for the action cam.

I,m soo happy you find out the tinks of the losen screws.. i tell you!! jejeeje,, better just lose 2 , than lose the drone becouse one motor just pop out! .. hope you enjoy it a lot friend,, is a great little mashine!

Hi friends,, after some research i have foun the best suitcase, or bag for transport my aosenma cg035 , is not an oficial bag made for this quadcopter, but after some easy cuts with a cutter , the MOD is done, all feets nice and secure. Just in love with my new bag. Also have a waterproof coat what is just awesome for the price.

Nice work on that case. :) I may have to get one.
I got to fly another pack earlier this week. Lots of fun flying, still need a lot more practice. Tried the "point-of-interest" setting, still need to get used to how that works. The camera battery died at about 3/4 of the flight, and my spare flight battery got here today, so I decided to try putting a bigger battery in the cam'.
I pulled the original battery and on the underside it was labeled 250mah .....

....and I have some spare 850mah batteries for my Syma X-5, so I grabbed on of them. It's a bit bigger, so I cut the back of the camera case for it to hang out.

I also added a pigtail so I can use a better charger. The new battery weighs 11 grams more ....

.... but it's just about centered in the drone.

I don't think the bird will have any problem with it, and it should give me over 3x the camera life. The monitor may run down before it does now, but it seems to work. :D

Now I'm waiting for the weather to be nice again, and I can try 2 packs worth of flying time.

8)

We got some decent weather, so I got a little more "stick" time today. The new cam' battery kept the camera going thru both flight batteries this time and the drone didn't even notice the extra 11 grams. :) It was still going after nearly 40 minutes of flying. The monitor only lasted another 10 minutes more, but the camera still has a charge so I'll try it again (before re-charging it) to see how long it lasts. I may have to get a 3rd battery for the 'copter, for even more fun.
Every time I fly it, I like it more and more. It's a great drone for a rooky pilot. I also found that case on eBay for about $25, so I'll probably get one of those too.
Thanks again for all of the great info. :D

you are more than welcome friend frankenstyle.
I am very happy to read your words and to get you introduced in this awesome world othe quads. I definitely get a third battery, I have 3 and it's a good number, the suitcase is great! This model is not for the ladies, but with a few modifications as you fit it fits perfect. Super comfortable when it is stored and transported. I now a few days ago that I can not fly, as long as I have bad weather, and when it does good, I am working .. plus I now have a new bird at home .. it has taken a little more time to my Little osenma, ahaha hope it do not get jealous. A big greeting friend and keeps bringing those good things about your asoenma. have fun!
