Looking for some advice from anyone who uses this radio. I have it pretty much all figured out and setup, but what I am curious about is the mixing for the two ESC's.

Between the "MOA Mix" and the "AUX-TH Mix" will one be better to use than the other? If I am taking it right the "AUX-TH Mix" will have more options for adjustments.

I'm am using it with an XR10 with dual FXR's. I love the radio so far and don't have any complaints, but I am curious as to what others think.

I use this radio but I'm waiting for my FXRs to arrive. As far as I'm aware the manual says to select MOA MIX.

Are you planning on using the switch or a dial for proportional dig?

I use the MOA setting then set my Lever as Aux1 and use my thumb to dial proportional.

Its pretty forward on settign it up. I havent found any where in there though that allows you to program a % for the lever. After a while you get use to it and becomes normal to drive.

I dont think the Aux-Th mix will allow you to use Proportional but Ive never tried it.

Yeah like I said I have it all setup with the MOA Mix, but wasn't sure if there were more adjustments to be had with the Aux-TH Mix. I think I answered my own question today as I was fooling around with it. I originally got this radio for the Lever, but after using it a couple of times, I decided I'm not real keen on it. I have my dig and proportional controls setup on the Trim switches and it feels better to me and is working well.

Hey mate how did you go with your dual esc mt4 setup?

I just got my FXRs and was wondering what you did to set them up?

I think I have it figured out now. My original problem was figuring out how to increase or decrease one channel (TH or AUX) to get everything rolling at the same speed consistently. I stayed with the MOA Mix and figured out I just have to adjust the EPA on either channel to get them where I need them. The lever was a big deciding factor (next to size) in buying this radio, but I've since gone away from the lever. It is nice, but I just don't care for it. As it is right now I have my dig setup on on the TRIM 4 switch and proportional setup on TRIM 2 switch. What makes it nice is if I slow down either end it's just a matter of hitting the TRIM 4 switch once to get everything back to 100%. I will try and get pics up later and maybe if I can ambitious a video.

Ah yes sounds like its working good! What ESCs are you running?

Real noob question, but how did you setup everything up initially? Like wire the ESCs, calibrate (seperate or at once?), the program radio?

I am running FXR's. This is how I wired mine.

I have calibrated them both ways at some point. Separately and together. It's pretty easy to do them both at the same time, so I recommend doing it that way. I have the ESC for the front motor plugged into the TH on the rx, and the ESC for the rear motor plugged into AUX 1. Make sure to remove the red wire on one of them so they aren't both feeding power to the rx. I run my BEC straight to my servo, but if you run a BEC to your rx you will have to remove both ESC power wires from the rx plug.

My radio is setup for MOA Mix on AUX 1, Dig on Trim 4 and proportional on Trim 2. Trim 4 step is set at 100 and Trim 2 step is set at increments of 10. I'll try and get a shot of the screen for ya.

Wow thanks heaps for all that! That answered nearly every question I had!

Which port on the rx would I plug the BEC into if I wanted? AUX2?

Dave runs MOA Mix, but I'm not sure about John. John's been too busy with the contest, I would rather not bother him with it right now.

Anytime you need something let me know. I have the same set up as Dave. I copied his presets.

Here are a couple of shots of my setup. I was wrong before. I have proportional setup on on TRIM 1.

The Novel I mean manual is a lot to go through.

Yes and very thorough. If you take notice they go over the exact same setups and just as many pages are used for AUX 2. Instead of just condensing it and stating the setups can be used for either AUX 1 or AUX 2 they wrote the whole thing twice.

Yes that does seen to be a waste...

Even trying to bind a receiver takes 18 pages of searching as the index sends you to page 12 from memory.
