Not really a wraith question, but I thought you guys would be a good resource.
Im a noob and from what I can gather about the bomber is that is has a 35T brushed motor and 12/56 gears.
When I pick it up I will also need to get battery and charger and I would love to know what you would expect performance on this set up with 2s or 3s lipo.

I bet the cheapy Traxxas 21t 550 motor would be a great choice for budget speed increase.

Need to get the High low kit for the trans if you want to crawl without burning up motors. But the out of the box 35t on 3s does scoot the Bomber around pretty well.

would be interesting to see if the center of gravity is low enough to bash a bit with the brushless or if it is stable at speed.

Or you can get a sensored 4 pole motor that has plenty of torque for crawling and speed for zipping around. No need to use the 2 speed tranny if you do it that way.

Any specific motor that you think is a good match? I HAVE A 2S VENIM LIPO 5000 30S battery already purchased so I would be better if I could use it too unless the motor wood not work with the 2s.

You will need a different ESC to run brushless, the stock ESC is for brushed motors only. Almost any motor will be better than the stocker but depends on what you want. You'll need to run yours in stock form then decide if you want more speed or more crawling control. If you go brushless you can have both and longer battery life.

That's the motor I've got in mine and took it on it's maiden voyage today. Running off of BRXL on 3s. Great budget brushed motor and with this setup I can go from mild to wild by upping voltage from 2-4s. On 3s it was plenty fast for the woods, and enough acceleration to do some decent jumps when they present themselves.

They don't handle nearly as well at speed compared to a Yeti. Pretty tall and narrow by comparison. The 21T Titan on 3s geared 64/14 might be as much speed as I would want personally. It easily traction rolls with this setup. It's very stable when climbing such as in the dirt or making rock bouncing runs up ledges. The long wheel base works so slick for this.

ran the stock setup on 3 cell, ok for the rocks, but dropped in a 20 turn wraith motor an a 14 t pinion on 3 cell oh yea woke it up now! def needs a swaybar in the rear, no high speed turns it will roll for sure, brushless is in the future an some suspension tuning, overall very happy with the rr10
