If you want 4ws, no matter brand Crawler
A-
You just buy 1 extra front axle and instal it rear?
Stock part, and maybe mod servo mount self someway.
And there is
Alu axles complete. Front or Rear.
If i strictly want 4ws only, then i buy Two Front axles right?
Just mount front axle at rear position also ?
And if these have axle mounted servo holder, then it is easy?
No mods need to mount servo then right?
B-
Do i need 2 expensive servos too ? Or is it OK have the best servo in front
and cheap one rear ? If you want save money.
For example 60-80$ Quality servo in front, and Banggood special 20$ rear ?
Is this ok?
C-
Radios
need servo mixing? Or 3ch is fine?
Dumbo 6ch has that if i remember right. I will use my cheap Dumbo 6ch.
I dont want always use rear steering. I want this work from my Transmitter
buttom like channel 3 on or off
D-Also BEC. I have BEC 5a, my front servo takes about 3a.
I can not have two super strong servos 6amp total in 5a BEC only ?
Better have one random digital waterproof 20kg servo in rear that
needs max 1.5a maybe ? I also use alot Led lights. Front+rear, and big ledbar. I will have more light in front winter, dual led bars front atleast
Axial Capra limited is only Crawler RTR that has 4ws right?
I like have it same to other Crawlers.
Overall Pros and Cons
Pros:
you can turn very easy at tight places. No need go rear
Just push 4ws on and go
Cons:
Your rear axle will be more weak, by the servo you have there?
Also this can be bad for fast trail crawlers?
This is more for the Comp style, slow crawlers maybe only?
I have seen couple guys mod their fast Axial Rock Bouncers RYFT to
4ws. But never follow them if they just do Crawling, or if they can
also bash fast after this mod. Maybe you guys know about this.
They did install two extreme and expensive servos, same front and rear.
Maybe then you can also trail faster ? If you have 10a BEC and
also strong servo rear that handles abuse ?
Anyways this is to random Axial crawlers, not Rock Bouncers.
I want also maybe do this mod to one Chinese brand Crawler i have
with Alu axles aftermarked.
