4th Annual Trail-Gear Customer Appreciation Run - Includes RC Competition

Trail-Gear’s 4th Annual Customer Appreciation Run will be held Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August16, 2009. Friday afternoon at 1PM we will have lunch catered by Famous Dave’s BBQ at the Trail-Gear headquarters in Fresno, CA. Lunch will be followed by an RC rock crawling competition and a drawing for some cool Trail-Gear prizes.

Saturday morning we will run the Swamp Lake trail in the Dinkey Creek Wilderness area in 2 groups. Saturday evening we will have a night run into Bald Mountain. Sunday morning before we depart we will organize a clean up of the campground and immediate area.

There will be fishing and swimming available as well. If you’re planning to attend, please sign up so we have enoughresources available. See the News section of the Trail-Gear online forum for free signup information. This event is completely free.


1. From Hwy 99 take Freeway 168 East towards Shaver Lake.

2. You will drive for 48 miles then you will make a right turn on Dinkey Creek Road. You will make the turn just before you come into the city of Shaver Lake. The GPS coordinates at this turn are: N3706062 W11919063

3. Drive 9 miles and then turn Left onto Rock Creek Road. There is a sign that says, "Swamp Lake/Bald MT". There is no sign that says Rock Creek Road. A brown forestry sign is posted with 9S09 marked on it. The GPS coordinates are as follows: N3704066 W11910525

4. Drive 1/2 a mile and make a left off of the paved road onto a dirt road. GPS coordinates are as follows: N3704336 W11910453

5. Straight ahead 0.1 miles on this road you will find camp TG. GPS coordinates N3704352 W11910494 We will be camping on both sides of the road.
