Sounds like a great event to go. RPP Hobby has the best service around and supports our fun with RC trucks and cars.

Team Challenge Rules

This is a two-person 1.9 Adventurist Class event where you and your partner start and finish with each other. This event is all about working together to get you through the course.

1.9 Adventurist Class vehicles must have rail chassis and drive shafts (no motor on axle). Must run 1.9 wheels.

Mandatory items for the team (all items must be usable on course):
Tow strap or rope
Winch
Spare Tire
Sand Ladders

Each teammate does not have to have the mandatory items, but between both of the teammates you must have these items.

Come up with a Team Name (Family appropriate)

1. No vehicle touches (Must recover using winch or teammate).

2. No touch/repositioning your truck – Touching your rig will add 10 seconds to your total time.

3. No judges winch (no using someone’s shoelace or other non-scale anchor point).

4. Battery changes and repairs must be done on course and on time.

5. Gates are easy to moderate with harder gates marked for Team Challenge along the course (some gates may require a winch or recovery vehicle). Teamwork is encouraged.

6. Each Team leaves together. The next team will leave 5 minutes after. If an opposite team is in front of you, you can pass them in a reasonable manner. The time starts when you leave the start and will continue until you have finished.

7. No reverse penalties.

8. Gate penalties adds 20 seconds to your total time

9. No Winch penalties

You must score yourself on your event scorecard. We trust everyone will "play fair" and be honest with your times and penalties.

Scorecards will be handed in when you finish - Both drivers and rigs must finish together.

We hope this will bring some new fun to our Saturday event. Make sure to bring plenty of batteries as there could be as many as 400 gates!

Thanks to Adam Nudelman (ANoodle) for the rules and guidelines for this type of challenge. We hope to see more of this team style event in the future.

"thumbsup"

Due to the high water levels this year at Lake Mendocino, we have been forced to move Saturday's R/C Scale Adventure.

It will now take place at Low Gap Park in Ukiah. If you are not familiar with Ukiah and Low Gap Park, here is a link: https://goo.gl/maps/r2uti89go622

We expect some exciting trails and new challenges at this 80 acre park and look forward to seeing you at the event!

Thanks,
The RPP Hobby Crew

I've been curious if the fires will be hampering the event, how is it looking?

I hope its still a go!

EDIT: I just called and was told its still on (as of 10/16/17):D:D

RPPHobby nice little crawl course just outside the shop, complete with several bridges, waterfall with creeks, very nice vendor's midway too! I was told that Pitbull Braven Ironside 1.9 is due in stores in 3 weeks, very nice looking scale tires that I was able to touch and look at. HPI Venture FJ was actually there running under it's own power too, looked great. :)
