If you were buying 3d printed accessories - interiors, figures, grilles, engine bays, etc - what color would you prefer them to be? Assuming that you were going to paint/finish them.

White, black, gray, tan, etc?

Some people don't care because they paint the prints. Painting over black can be more difficult, but otherwise there shouldn't be any issues. The biggest issue with FDM prints is getting them to be smooth so the layers don't stand out like a sore thumb. This is why I hate 3D printed visual parts.

You can print in resin and have smoother prints, but those are much more brittle than FDM prints.

Personally, I don't buy prints since I can design and print my own.

I would say white and black would be the most common for sure, and maybe a silver metallic looking filament for grilles and such.

If they're supposed to represent metal parts, metallic silver so weathering is easier. If they're just accessories...if you can't print them in the color that a majority of the item is made of (example, a blue cooler being printed in blue filament) then I'd go with black with a coat of grey primer.

What resin are you using? I've been making resin printed parts for some time that will take a hit. I usually use a resin like the Blu Nylon Black.
